He recently gave us a taste of a special treat they make for Ramadan and took the time to explain all the items I wasn't familiar with. This is exactly why you support small businesses--because they truly care and make everything with love. The baklava is, as always, amazing, but I am currently obsessed with the date cookies! Mo explained that they use no added sugar; the natural dates are sweet enough on their own. If you want authentic treats and incredible service, look no further.”

“Best baklava in NYC. I purchased at the Park Slope location once and they moved to Bay Ridge like 2 years ago. The staff was super friendly. He offered me a sample of pistachio baklava and it was so delicious. It was so fresh and not too sweet. I got a box of assorted nuts. It got 12 pieces and it was $22. Can't wait to go back and try other Turkish pastries.”

The Date Filled Cookies (Maamoul) are incredible, but the Pistachio Filled Cookies are on a whole different level. It's like having that rich, perfect pistachio baklava filling inside a delicate cookie. I've never had anything like them--they are truly unique and a total must-try. The shop is small, authentic, and spotless. The owner, Mohammad, is such a friendly guy; he took the time to talk to me and made me a total believer in those special cookies. It's rare to find a place that matches high-quality baking with such genuine hospitality. If you're in the neighborhood, do yourself a favor and stop by. You'll come for the baklava, but you'll leave obsessed with the cookies! ”
